Holiday Rocks!

Yeah it's finally here. The long-awaited holiday. Long holidays can be pretty boring, but for now, I'm just going to enjoy it :D

Sleep late, wake up late, no school, no detentions, and most important of all, NO HOMEWORK!!

Umm... okay I don't know what else to say here. I'm just plain happy. I bet people reading this post are too.

FAREWELL PARTY (AGAIN)

We've been through lots of farewell parties before, but this one is kind of different. Here's the order of what's happening in the farewell party. As much as I can remember.

1. Students assemble in the auditorium

2. Mrs. Tjandra's greetings to parents

3. "Check Yes Juliet" by the Grade 8 band

4. Drama and blah blah some other stuff I forgot by other grades

5. "Animal Crackers" by Grade 3 (or was it 2. Or 4)

6. Some other songs and drama by other grades

7. Our dance performance. Crap.

8. ECA dance performance

9. Stuff I forgot again

10. Awards for Grades 1-8

11. Door prizes

12. "Because You Loved Me" by our band. Crap again.

13. "Goodbye" by Grade 8 band

14. Refreshments. Finally.

CHECK YES JULIET

Check yes Juliet
Are you with me?
Rain is falling down on the sidewalk
I won't go until you come outside

Check yes Juliet
Kill the limbo
I'll keep throwing rocks at your window
There's no turning back for us tonight

Lace up your shoes
A O A O ah
Here's how we do

Run baby run
Don’t ever look back
They’ll tear us apart
If you give them the chance
Don’t sell your heart
Don’t say we’re not meant to be
Run baby run
Forever will be
You and me

Check yes Juliet
I’ll be waiting
Wishing, wanting, yours for the taking
Just sneak out
And don’t tell a soul goodbye

Check yes Juliet
Here’s the countdown
3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . . now fall in my arms
Now they can change the locks
Don’t let them change your mind

Lace up your shoes
A O A O ah
Here’s how we do

Run baby run
Don’t ever look back
They’ll tear us apart
If you give them the chance
Don’t sell your heart
Don’t say we’re not meant to be
Run baby run
Forever will be
You and me
You and me
You and me

This song is stuck in my head. Somebody get it out!!

DANCE. BAND. WHATEVER.

The "dancers" will never forget this farewell party. The "dancers" are me, Karina, Mariska, and Audine (which I said in the previous post).

Dance is creepy.

There were over 50 eyes staring at us. Much worse than at the rehearsals.

When it was our turn, Mariska couldn't move and Audine had to pull her off the chair. We were that nervous. It was a stupid dumb lame weird embarassing (I'm running out of words. Maybe I should use a thesaurus) *grabs thesaurus* unintelligent nerve-wracking wacko strange hip-hop dance. After the song ended the audience actually appplauded. Wow, wasn't expecting that. And we ran off stage.

Here are some interviews with the audience at the farewell party.

Aileen: How was dance? Was it that bad?
Devina: You guys look funny xD

Aileen: What do you think of the farewell party?
Cindy: Dance was pretty cool actually.
Aileen: Sure, 'cuz you weren't the one dancing. What about the band?
Cindy: The band was THAT bad.

Thank you, Devina and Cindy, for the kind interview.

End of post? Guess so. I'm so happy I can't think of anything else.

Enjoy your holiday everyone~

School Holiday

Who doesn't need a break from school? I mean, even teachers need a break, right? So do students. We are students! We demand a holiday! LOL. There will be a holiday in 2 more days (YEAH!! FINALLY!!!). Just need to go through 2 more painful days... then freedom!

This is a really needed holiday. We've been through a lot. In almost every day of school, we've had piles of homework, punishments from teachers, detentions from other teachers, pressure on quizzes, more pressure from tests, and lots of other stuff you don't want to know. I'm not exaggerating. No, I am not. Well, maybe I am. No. Maybe. Yes. I'm exaggerating. Homework and quizzes and tests aren't that bad. And teachers aren't mean. If any teachers are reading this post, please don't misunderstand. Please don't lower our grades for whatever subject you teach. :D

FAREWELL PARTY

There is going to be a holiday, but before that we'll have to face the tortures of the Farewell Party (I'm exaggerating again). Let me explain why it is such a "torture."

First reason: Performances. This includes bands, singing, drama, and blah blah blah... lots more... For our performance, we've got a band that's going to play "Because You Loved Me." Our band isn't ready. Not at all. We've got the wrong chords for people playing keyboards, and according to our teachers, the singers won't sing. No offense, if any singers (which includes Nadya and Anne) from our band are reading this, isn't singing what singers are supposed to do? SING PEOPLE!! LOL. Sorry.

Second reason: DANCE!!! Actually this should be placed in the "Performances" category, but I just wanted to put it here. :D Sooooo... our grade is going to perform dance. Our dance teacher's chosen four people to perform; me, Karina, Audine, and Mariska. It's a weird, tiring, and according to some people, lame hip-hop dance. Truly embarassing. We shall die. All of us who perform dance shall die of embarassment. Goodbye, world...

Third reason: People are watching us. O__O Parents, teachers, the school principal, other students, EVERYONE. It's stressful. It makes us nervous, and when we're nervous, we forget things. We forget the lyrics for our song, our lines for a drama play, the moves for dance, because people are staring right at us. For example, today during dance practice, me, Karina, Audine, and Mariska were on the stage and our teacher was trying to get us to dance properly. It's hard with people watching. So first, the students who were watching us were really loud, like shouting and running and talking to each other, then Mr. Agus, our Science teacher, yelled to them "QUIET!!!" really loud. And then they were really quiet. So quiet you can even hear the crickets. *cricket cricket cricket*

So anyway after the other students just sat there so quiet like gargoyles (I don't know why I'm using gargoyles as comparison to students), and our dance teacher turned on the music, we couldn't dance. At least not properly. Half the time I think we forgot the moves or won't dance because there are so many eyes, like over 30, staring at us. And after it finished we ran off stage. That was so embarassing. And to think that we have to go through it again on Friday with even more eyes staring at us.

Fourth reason: Embarassment. I think you already know.

Fifth reason: Nervousness. I think you already know about this too.

Sixth reason: I'm out of ideas of what to post next on this blog.
